Ginger root powder is also called Ground ginger or Ginger powder. Ground ginger is a staple in bakers’ pantries & it adds a warm, spicy flavour & aroma to baked goods. Our ginger is cultivated in India. Ginger is frequently added to Indian dishes & is quintessential ingredient of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese & multiple South African cuisines. It’s used for flavouring dishes such as goat meat, seafood & vegetarian. In Arab countries, ginger is combined with other spices to add flavour to couscous, slow-cooked meat dishes with fruit & tanginess. In South Africa ginger is probably most recognised as a baking spice in cakes & biscuits.
